Get Fresh in Niagara’s Twenty Valley this spring

Note: The popular Get Fresh in the Valley program, that takes place at wineries in the Twenty Valley of Niagara, is set to take place in April and May. The following is a news release providing the details.

Vineland, ON – The wineries of the Twenty Valley Tourism Association are kicking off the spring season with their ever popular Get Fresh in the Valley passport program.

New this year, each winery will give away the coveted recipe of their gourmet appetizers. Guests can collect a recipe card at each winery along the Get Fresh Route to complete their Get Fresh Spring Cookbook.

Ontario Wine and Dessert“This event gives passport holders a fantastic opportunity to not only learn about food and wine pairings but also to take the ideas home to impress friends and family throughout the spring/summer entertaining season” said Twenty Valley Tourism Association Executive Director, JD Pachereva.

The passport entitles guests to sample new vintage and aromatic wines from 24 premium VQA wineries paired with spring-inspired appetizers created by some of the area’s finest chefs.

Adding to the value of the passport, The Watering Can Flower Market in Vineland will be offering a complimentary workshop with a value of $20.00 to Get Fresh passport holders on the Saturday of each weekend between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Our popular designated driver program is back; Cherry Lane Frozen Fruits will provide designated drivers a variety of cherry mocktails at each winery.

Get Fresh takes place on the weekends of April 28 & 29 and May 5 & 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Passports are on sale now for $35.00 (+hst) and are valid for one weekend only.

The Twenty Valley is home to 34 wineries, based in the heart of Niagara’s Wine Country. The valley spans from West St.Catharines to Grimsby. Twenty Valley hosts wine themed events year round including; “Wrapped Up In The Valley”, “Get Fresh In The Valley” and “Winter WineFest.”
