Note: I know, I know … it’s a little early to be talking about the holiday season, but the Twenty Valley tourism folks have just announced that tickets are now for sale for the upcoming Wrapped Up in the Valley. Here’s their news release.

The Twenty Valley Tourism Association (TVTA) is pleased to announce that passports for the wildly popular Wrapped Up in the Valley are now on sale.

PrintWrapped Up in the Valley showcases 24 VQA wines paired with gourmet appetizers at 24 of the Twenty Valley’s premium wineries. Passport holders choose a weekend in November (November 9 & 10 or November 17 & 18 or November 24 & 25) and may explore the valley between 11am and 5 pm.

“Wrapped Up in the Valley is the TVTA’s official kickoff to the holiday season,” said TVTA Executive Director JD Pachereva.”The Wrapped Up passport is a great opportunity to get to know your local wineries and discover new favourite local wines along the way.”

A single weekend passport is $40.00 per person (+ HST) and may be purchased online here or by phone at 905-562-3636 and at select participating wineries. Passports include a wine and food pairing at each of the 24 wineries, a free Christmas arrangement workshop at the Watering Can Flower Market (Saturdays only) and a gift-wrapped box of savoury shortbreads crafted by Provisions Food Company.

The TVTA is once again partnering with Cherry Lane to provide signature cherry non-alcoholic mocktails at each winery and is happy to offer Designated Driver passports for $30.00 (+ HST). This year guests can also travel the Wrapped Up route with buses provided by DanNel Transportation for $39.00 per person, per day, taxes included. For reservations contact Brian at 905-934-1124.

The TVTA is encouraging out of town guests to make a weekend of it with eight of its member bed and breakfast and Inns offering Wrapped Up passport holders a discount on rooms.

Participating accommodations are at Atherton House, The Beacon Harbourside Inn & Suites, Black Walnut Manor, Bonnybank Bed and Breakfast, Inn on the Twenty, The House by the Side of the Road, The Jordan House and The Orchard Croft Boutique Country Retreat.

The Twenty Valley is home to 34 wineries, based in the heart of Niagara’s Wine Country. The valley spans from West St. Catharines to Grimsby. Twenty Valley hosts wine themed events year round including; “Wrapped Up In The Valley”, “Get Fresh In The Valley” and “Winter WineFest.”
