On Saturday, June 18, Canadian music icon JIM CUDDY returns to Tawse Winery along with “Year of the Cat” singer/songwriter Al STEWART.  This very special ‘al fresco’ concert promises to be the event of the summer, and one not to be missed!

Taste the Place at Southbrook

We are pleased to announce the date for our second annual “Taste the Place” — an event that is quickly becoming a “must” for wine lovers and lovers of life!

On June 18, guests will be guided on a walk through Southbrook’s organic and biodynamic vineyard, tasting unique wines among the vines where they actually grew.

Three new wines will be introduced, each one from a different “family” of Southbrook wines (Triomphe Chardonnay 09, Connect Red 08 and Whimsy! Red 08 — so something for everyone!

A New Vintage from Vine to Wine

Join the Niagara Grape and Wine Festival for the New Vintage Festival Discovery Pass Program.

Enjoy this year’s summer solstice with the Discovery Pass Program, taking place weekends; June 18th through 26th, 2011. Dairy Farmers of Canada present the New Vintage Discovery Pass. This is your ticket to 6 wineries for two weekends of wine and culinary adventures at over 30 participating wineries across Niagara.

Wineries have developed an incredible showcase of Niagara culinary paired with wines that reflect the unique personality of each winery. And if you are interested in extreme tastings there are vertical tastings available.

Deborah Levy from Dairy Farmers of Canada will be working closely with select wineries to provide New Vintage visitors with the opportunity to explore incredible Grand Prix winning artisanal cheeses with Wine and Cheese Seminars. The cheese selections will compliment the various winemakers’ styles and tastes.

Joining Deborah will be Grapevine Magazine wine personalities Michael Pinkus and John Szabo. Michael will lead a tasting with winemaker, Jeff Hundertmark at Marynissen Estate Winery on Saturday June 18th and the following day at one of Niagara’s newest wineries; Hinterbrook Estate Winery.

Weekend two, John Szabo will lead the Southbrook tasting on Saturday and Sunday Michael will be back for the closing day tasting at Strewn Winery.

Discovery Passes are $30 and Wine Seminars are $10 each (plus HST). All are available by ordering online at the Niagara Wine Festival or calling the Festival office at 905-688-0212.
