Note: Château des Charmes is hosting the first National BBQ Day Grill Off on June 3 in support of Meal Exchange.
Since the launch of Generation Seven wines in September 2010, Château des Charmes has been able to donate more than $42,000 to help Meal Exchange continue to engage, educate and mobilize youth to work with their communities in order to alleviate hunger locally and achieve food security.
National BBQ Day celebrates locally-sourced food enjoyed with family and friends. And what’s a locally-inspired BBQ with out local wine? This is the information provided by the winery for the event coming up on June 3.
Take four Napoleon grills, four awesome chefs, a couple of Niagara wines and you get a recipe for a delicious afternoon supporting a great cause.
Come meet chefs Therese Degrace, Matt Kantor, Mike Langley and Tim Tufts as they flip and sizzle traditional and non-traditional BBQ fare they each created to pair with Chateau des Charmes Generation Seven White and Red wines.
Each chef will host a brief demo on their favourite grilling secret so you can be the master of your grill on National BBQ Day.
Michèle Bosc will also be on hand to share her thoughts on pairing wine with grilled dishes. Which will be your favourite match?
Vote on Meal Exchange’s Facebook page. And to help us celebrate all things local, Niagara-on-the-Lake’s own Mrs. Johnston will be performing throughout the afternoon.
Come get your grill on and help us warm up for the 3rd annual National BBQ day.
Tickets are free! Generation Seven by the glass $5 each. BBQ dishes priced accordingly.
Let us know you’re coming … reserve a free ticket on Event Brite.
