Twenty four craft brewers and the major breweries submitted 135 beers for the competition in 22 categories.
The brewery took home gold in the following categories:
- British Pale Ale – Plowman’s Ale
- British India Pale Ale – Curmudgeon IPA
- Imperial Stout – Russian Gun Imperial Stout
- Strong Beer – Jubilation Winter Ale
The brewery received additional honours in the people’s choice awards:
- British Pale Ale – Plowman’s Ale

- Imperial Stout – Russian Gun Imperial Stout
- Fruit Beer – Blackberry Wheat
Grand River Brewing’s Russian Gun Imperial Stout has become a judge’s favourite, with three gold medals now behind its reputation, garnering recognition last year at the Ontario Brewing Awards and in 2009 at the Canadian Brewing Awards.
