TasteCamp North began on Friday at Chateau des Charmes with a vineyard tour by Paul Bosc, structured wine tasting inside the Chateau with lunch sponsored by Spencer’s by the Waterfront and then a grand tasting with Niagara-on-the-Lake wineries. The group then headed to Hillebrand for a session on wild fermentation with winemaker Craig McDonald and a tasting with Hillebrand, Stratus, Lailey and Thirty Bench.
Later in the day the group enjoyed a tasting and Ontario cheese at a special room set up at White Oaks for the wines from Jackson-Triggs, Le Clos Jordanne and Inniskillin before finishing the day at Ravine for a dinner of roasted pig and the wines of Ravine and Southbrook.
Here are some photos from the day.
