Note: While on a week long adventure in Burgundy for the annual Grands Jour de Bourgogne, an intense exploration of the main Burgundian regions held for wine journalists, I will be posting a photo blog. Just random photos from the trip. I will try to update the posts daily.
Here are photos on the first day, which was centred in Chablis and featured a tasting of over 110 domaines from the region plus a buffet that consisted of regional foods that match so beautifully with the steely, mineral laden wines of Chablis.

Talking up the Domaine Pinson Chablis.These fabulous Chablis from Domaine Seguinot-Bordet are coming to Ontario. Should arrive in two weeks.Jean-Francois Bordet of Domaine Seguinot-Bordet. He grows the grapes, make the wines and also does the marketing. Basically everything.Just another great cheese plate to munch on.Desserts and cheese. Mmmmm.One hell of a buffet.One of two help yourself wine tables for lunch. All Chablis.A big discovery for me were the Sauvignon Blancs being made in Saint-Bris. Gorgeous style.Quick, who's tried Cesar before? This is the only winery in the world, I'm told, making a 100% Cesar (Gamay like).The houses in Chablis are very cool, with most made of pale limestone and surrounded by a limestone fence.I love this place.
